Charlie has taught saxophone and general music lessons to children and adult learners, beginners and seasoned performers alike.

He has mentored students through a variety of musical practices, including jazz, blues, popular music, classical repertoire, and improvisation, coaching students towards takings exams and performing live on stage. Charlie additionally provides general music lessons from the school and college syllabus, covering composition, arranging, transcribing, and more.

Every person approaches music and thinks about it in a different way. With that in mind, Charlie presents ideas in a way that connects to the individual student and brings out their curiosity, optimising their development. He produces his own backing tracks for students to play along to, based on what they are studying or simply what they like to hear!
